Day 01 :

Moshi – Umbwe Gate – Umbwe Cave Camp (2,850m)

After breakfast in Moshi, transfer to Umbwe Gate (1,800m).

The trail is narrow and sharply ascending, passing roots and rocky areas.

Overnight at Umbwe Cave Camp.

Day 02 :

Umbwe Cave Camp – Barranco Camp (3,950m)

Leave the rainforest and enter the heath and moorland zone.
Stunning views of Mount Meru and Kibo as you climb a ridgeline.
Connect with the Machame Route at Barranco Camp.
Overnight at Barranco Camp.

Day 03 :

Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp (4,035m)

Climb the famous Barranco Wall, a fun and adventurous scramble.
Traverse several valleys and ridges before arriving at Karanga Camp.

Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp (4,600m)

Hike steadily uphill to the final base camp.

Early dinner and rest before the midnight summit attempt.

Day 05 :

Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Begin the summit attempt at midnight under the stars.

Reach Stella Point and then Uhuru Peak for sunrise.

Day 06 :

Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Moshi
